How the conversion works
A full-time year is 40 hours a week for 52 weeks, or 2,080 hours. Hourly pay times 2,080 gives yearly pay; yearly pay divided by 2,080 gives the hourly rate. Paid every two weeks means 26 paychecks a year; paid twice a month means 24. Change the hours, days and weeks to match your job. The full guide walks through each step.
All figures are gross pay, before income tax, Social Security, Medicare and other deductions.
